The proceedings of the public meeting if 7th October last, over which you presided, have not as yet obtained any official recognition, and we feel that it is of great importance that steps should be taken, with out delay, with the view of eliciting, in a form availatte for publication, some information as to the course that has been adopted, with regard to the resolutions, which were forwarded
by you to His Excellency the Governor, for Kaus- mission to Her Majesty's Principaleleretiry of State for the Colonies.
